The T Shirt Man started in Portsmouth in 2006 with one simple idea: you think it, we print it.
What began while Jordan was studying at the University of Portsmouth has grown into an established custom clothing business supplying individuals, companies, schools, universities, clubs, events and organisations across the UK.
20 years later, we've printed more than 500,000 garments — and we're still based in Portsmouth, still independently run and still focused on getting customers' orders printed properly and delivered fast.

From a Portsmouth University idea to one of the UK's fast-turnaround garment printers
Our Story
It all started during Freshers' Week at the University of Portsmouth in 2006.
Jordan needed an outfit for a party and decided to make his own T-shirt using spray paint and a simple peace-symbol design. The following morning, the idea of putting designs onto shirts and selling them online seemed worth a try.
A handful of blank T-shirts were bought, printed and listed for sale.
They sold. More followed.
What started as a way of earning some extra money while studying gradually turned into a real printing business.
Within a year, The T Shirt Man had moved beyond student-room experiments and into professional garment printing. Over the years we've invested in new equipment, improved our processes and added new printing methods — but the basic idea behind the company has never really changed:

Today, The T Shirt Man specialises in fast custom T-shirt printing and personalised clothing, producing everything from individual shirts to orders containing hundreds or thousands of garments.
Our printing services include DTF printing, screen printing, embroidery and specialist garment decoration, allowing us to choose the right production method for the artwork, garment, quantity and deadline.
And while spray paint has definitely been retired, we're still happy to tackle unusual ideas.

A lot has changed since that first spray-painted T-shirt in 2006.
The equipment is considerably better.
The orders are considerably bigger.
And thankfully, nobody is spray painting T-shirts in a student bedroom anymore.
But we're still doing essentially the same thing:
